As of May 9th Zagreb will have a daily connection with Qatar thanks to the new direct route Doha – Zagreb - Doha with a stop-over in Budapest operated by Qatar Airways. Tickets will be sold at promotional prices until the first scheduled flight.
Thanks to the new direct route Doha – Zagreb with a stop-over in Budapest and vice versa, as of May 9th Zagreb will be connected with the Middle East and other countries around the world on a daily basis. This new route has been introduced by Qatar Airways, an airline which has recently entered the Croatian market.
Zagreb has thus become the 114th destination for Qatar Airways, whose aircraft have been connecting numerous countries around the world for quite some time now, including those with the highest economic growth. Passengers will have the opportunity to fly between Doha and Budapest, via Zagreb of course, on a daily basis, and everyone who books a ticket before May 9th will get a promotional discount.
Introducing the route just before the tourist season gives Zagreb and all of Croatia a great opportunity to attract many tourists from Qatar itself, but also from other countries to which Qatar Airways has already been flying. Numerous citizens of Zagreb and Croatia will also have a quicker and cheaper option for visiting those countries.
During the presentation of the new route, Paul Johannes, the vice president of Qatar Airways for Europe said, “Choosing Zagreb as Qatar Airways’ new destination was logical as extensive market research has shown that the Croatian capital offers great possibilities for an increase in the number of passengers. We believe this firmly and we are very optimistic.”
Apart from being of major importance for tourism, a daily connection between Zagreb and Doha will also have a great influence on business trends as many foreign citizens live in Qatar exclusively because of employment.
Since Qatar Airways has a wide network of destinations, apart from affordable flights to Doha, it also offers promotional prices for economy class flights to numerous other cities such as Abu Dhabi, Osaka, Johannesburg, Dubai and many more. This new route has finally improved Zagreb’s connection with distant cities around the world.
